| Southwest By Santa Fe prides itself in fine
southwestern style furniture,
hand made right
here in the United States.
Our factory is
located in El Paso, Texas,
6455 Hiller A-9,
overviewing our sister
city of Juarez Mexico.
The company was started
in 2008 by Linda
and Jim Mayhew (owners
of Santa Fe Furnishings
- Canada) of Priddis, Alberta
Canada. On
their search to find the
best quality southwestern
products at reasonable
pricing, they first
tried out the Mexican market.
The craftsmanship
was good, but lack of communication
and time
issues were making business
impossible. That's
when they decided to team
up with Aldo Marmolejo,
at the time manager of
a southwestern manufacturer
in Juarez Mexico, working
out of El Paso.
Both parties were in the
same page on the
Mexican product issue,
and decided to start
manufacturing in El Paso
and avoid the over
the border problems. That
was the start of
Southwest by Santa Fe. |

All of the products used in the manufacturing
of our products are
bought right here in
the United States.
Even though we are bordered
to Juarez Mexico,
we are proud to claim that
our work force is
made up of United States
citizens. Our foreman
carpenter, Victor Herrera
worked for the the
very same company as did
Aldo, only about
15 years prior. He started
working at the age
of thirteen as a carpenter
along side his dad
in Juarez Mexico. Twelve
years ago he came
to the United States to
live with his wife,
here in El Paso. Fortunately
for us we were able
to hire him here at Southwest
by Santa Fe , and
now have not only experience
in the shop, but
a real feel for authentic
Mexican carpentry.
The only thing better
is that now he has
the opportunity to work
with more reliable
raw products like U.S.
bought wood (treated),
paints, thinner (not
gas or other alternates),
stains, glue and
... well you know.
(this is not to say all
Mexican manufacturers
run this way, but a
lot are known for
cutting corners) |

Our Stains:
Our stains are regularly
purchased at Sherwin
Williams unless specified
otherwise.We will
also use Minwax stain
on some occasssions.
The top clear coat
is Serwin Williams
semi-gloss
or flat, as specified.
Our Paints:
Paints are that of
Valspar paints, found
at Lowe's. They have
worked well for us
and
are an easy way for
customers to view
exact
color by dropping
in at any local Lowe's
in your area. |

Our Leathers:
Leathers are purchased
from North Carolina,
Green Hides Studios.
We will try to locate
leather locally,
at Tandy Leather Factory,
before ordering.
Our Hides:
Hides are purchased
locally at Tandy Leather
Factory or El Paso
Saddleblanket Company.
A great assortment
is always available in
brindle, black &
white, brown & white,
tri-color or salt
& pepper. |

Textiles are bought
locally from Texas
fabrics
and Foam Company.
They have a great
assortment
and supply samples.
Feel free to send
us your own textile or
leather to upholster,
or specify the stain
or color you would
like applied to your furniture. |

line:
Custom pieces will generally take 4-5 weeks
to manufacture from
time of ordering, will
ship the 6th week.

We utilize various shipping companies to
obtain the best price
to designated locations
and special requests.
Shippers regularly
used are Southwestern
Motor Transport,
Fed
Ex Freight, Saia,
Central Freight Lines.
Southeastern Freight,
Southwestern Freight
and Con Way. Packing
costs vary on items
purchased. Palletation
for larger items
generally

$25.00 - $50.00,
to ensure
their safe arrival.

Manufacturing time line:
Custom furniture pieces will generally take
4-5 weeks to manufacture from time of ordering,
will ship the 6th week. Pictures of finished
item can be sent for approval before shipping.
Quantity orders generally take anywhere from
6-8 weeks to manufacture. We urge you to
place your order with sufficient time for
manufacturing, packing and delivery, as orders
are NOT subject to cancellation.
Shipping:

Warranty:
Southwest by Santa Fe will repair any piece
of furniture, which is defective in material
or workmanship. To exercise your rights under
this warranty, you must submit both the original
sales receipt and delivery ticket when making
a claim. Southwest by Santa Fe's warranty period begins at the time you receive
the product in your home. You will not be
charged for any repair services, delivery
costs, or replacement furniture. If you notice
a defect, it is important that you promptly
notify us. The limited warranty is one year
from the date you receive the product in
your home. Southwest by Santa Fe's will not repair or replace your furniture
if improper maintenance or improper use causes
damage. This warranty does not apply if your
Southwest by Santa Fe product is damaged by negligence, abuse,
normal wear and tear, or accidents such as:
cuts, burns, scratches, watermarks or pet
damage.
Buyer authorization:
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required
with order. Furniture orders are not subject
to cancellation. Availability of merchandise
is estimated according to information at
time the order is written. The date of actual
availability may vary from this estimate
and buyer agrees that changes in availability
will not invalidate this order. Southwest by Santa Fe is not responsible for fastness of color
or variations in fabric or leather dye lots
or wood finishes. Southwest by Santa Fe purchases
full leather hides in which natural bruising
and branding is visable, please let us know
if you absolutely will not accept these natural
imperfections, and we will work around them
(cost may vary). Most wood bought custom
grade and will have knots, which will be
puddied or bondoed if neccessary. Please
let us know if knots are not acceptable and
straight lined wood will be purchased for
your order (price may vary). Buyer shall
measure doorways, stairways and areas to
be used before ordering. Southwest by Santa Fe assumes no responsibility for merchandise
purchased that is to large to fit. Balance
is due 10 days prior to delivery. Storge
fees may apply to furniture with balances
left unattended to 30 days ($150.00 / week)
and any balance left unattended for over
60 days will be considered abandoned. A certified
letter will be sent to advise you of your
rights and furniture may be sold in accordance to letter. |
